General Hematologist
About the role
MaineHealth Cancer Care is seeking a Hematologist to join the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at its Brunswick location. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues in an established hematology/oncology practice affiliated with MidCoast Hospital, an integral part of the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network.
Practice location
The MaineHealth Brunswick Practice is located in Brunswick, Maine, a family-friendly town that is the home of Bowdoin College and is ideally situated on the scenic coastline of Casco Bay. Brunswick has outstanding schools, a thriving arts and dining scene, and is within easy driving distance of Portland, Maine.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with a range of benign and malignant hematologic conditions
- Supported by subspecialists throughout the MaineHealth system
- Participation in system-wide multidisciplinary subspecialty tumor boards is encouraged
- A 1 day/week subspecialty clinic at the primary MaineHealth Cancer Center campus in Scarborough/Portland is available for candidates with subspecialty interest

The programs are academically affiliated with the Tufts University School of Medicine and include a fellowship training program as well as robust clinical and translational research efforts, with membership in both NCORP and the NCI cooperative groups.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in oncology within an academic health system or academically oriented private practice is preferred
- Strong candidates in the early stages of their careers will be considered
Pay
The annual base salary for this position is $520,000.
