GENERAL FACILITIES LABORER

Key Job Elements

• Perform routine building maintenance and repair tasks.
• Maintain CABVI grounds in clean, safe, and orderly manner including mowing, trimming, weeding, minor pest management, cleaning debris from grounds, pathways, and parking lots.
• Maintain grounds maintenance equipment; pruning trees and shrubs and snow removal as needed.
• Assist the Facility Supervisor and/or Facilities Mechanic in repair of CABVI equipment.
• Maintain safe working standards and regulations.
• Perform the duties of a building maintenance assistant, as needed.
• Perform as back up for the janitorial staff and assists in cleaning as needed.
• Adapt to change and complete other duties as assigned by manager.
• Consistently achieve annual performance objectives.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb a ladder and work at height up to 30 feet above the ground or floor.

Education and/or Experience

• H.S. Diploma/GED with at least one-year building and machine maintenance experience required.
• Must have and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license.
• Must be forklift certified & can operate forklifts in a safe and responsible manner.

Work Environment

• In house position with travel as needed.
• Noise level is moderate to loud.
• Must be available for evening and weekend work dependent upon Agency need.
• Must be able to work in other locations as needed.
• The work will include inside and outside in all types of weather conditions.

PAY

RATE OF PAY: $18.50
