General Counsel (NYC based)

Responsibilities

• Oversees all legal work, including policy and contract drafting
• Provides legal and strategic advice to the Executive Team and Board of Directors
• Manages junior attorneys and fosters an inclusive team environment
• Acts as a liaison between Legal and other departments, soliciting feedback regularly
• Collaborates with Finance on insurance, tax filings, and annual audits

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required
• 15+ years of legal experience in increasingly responsible roles
• 3-5 years of strategic oversight of a Legal team
• PREFERRED: 3-5 years leading a Legal department
• Must be admitted to practice law in New York
