About the role

The General Construction and Maintenance Supervisor I oversees skilled trades workers, helpers, equipment operators, laborers, and other unskilled and semi-skilled workers in the construction, maintenance, alteration, and repair of buildings and other structures, paved areas, and electrical or plumbing systems. The role also involves supervising the maintenance and repair of motorized equipment and adjacent grounds and landscaping areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise skilled trades workers, helpers, equipment operators, laborers, and other unskilled and semi-skilled workers in the construction, maintenance, alteration, and repair of buildings and other structures, paved areas, and electrical or plumbing systems.
• Supervise the maintenance and repair of motorized equipment and adjacent grounds and landscaping areas.
• Plan and schedule the work of other fully competent workers, assign and review their work, provide training, and evaluate their work performance.

Requirements

• EIGHT (8) YEARS of work experience in performing a variety of work in the construction and maintenance of buildings, structures, or electrical or plumbing systems, including ONE (1) YEAR of supervisory experience which included planning and scheduling the work of other fully competent workers, assigning and reviewing their work, providing training, and evaluating their work performance.
• A valid driver's license at the time of appointment.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Education and experience as outlined in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.
