About the role

This job provides clerical support to functional groups following standard procedures such as copying, preparing and distributing mail, inventory, data entry, filing, faxing and retrieving documents, indexing and scanning/imaging documents. Online processing systems may be used to perform some of these tasks. The Clerk also resolves discrepancies and communicates with a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively when interacting with internal/external customers.
  • Prepare, sort and distribute mail, inventory, and reports.
  • Enter data/statistics into database or reports.
  • Monitor, track and review inventory.
  • Perform additional clerical duties including photocopying and responding to incoming phone calls.
  • Resolve discrepancies and communicate with a variety of internal and external customers.
  • Meet quality and production standards established by management.

Requirements

Required: High School Diploma/GED. 3-5 years of related, progressive experience (effective August 2016).

Preferred: None.

Qualifications

Required: United States citizenship (as required by the Department of Defense) – UCD Only. Successful attainment of a Department of Defense DIACAP security clearance within 30 days of hire or at the needs of the business – UCD Only.
