ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• High Dusting: Using a treated high duster, clean surfaces above shoulder height.
• Cleaning the High Duster: Gently brush into service cart.
• Sanitizing / Spot Cleaning: Use germicidal solution to clean surfaces below shoulder height.
• Using proper solution to clean doorknobs, walls, and windows.
• Bathroom Cleaning: Wipe down surfaces, refill soap and paper dispensers, empty trash cans.
• Floor Dusting or Vacuuming: Use a dust mophead and counter brush, vacuuming starting at the back of the room.
• Grounds Care: Clean and check outside areas, including ash urns, trash cans, sidewalks, flower beds, and curb line.
• Food Court: Clean tables, sanitize, stack clean trays, and police outside eating areas.
• Floor Sanitizing: Use germicidal solution to sanitize the floor, mopping under furniture and behind doors.
• Customer Relations and Service: Knock on doors before entering, be friendly and answer questions, report issues to supervisor.
• Work Quietly: Reduce noise, stay in assigned area unless directed otherwise.
• Maintain Personal Appearance: Keep clean and neat, report unfinished work to supervisor.
• Other Duties: Perform tasks such as floor care, carpet extraction, and floor waxing as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of basic janitorial operations, methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
• Operate powered and non-powered janitorial equipment.
• Safe work practices and knowledge of toxic and non-toxic chemicals.
