Position Details

The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry & Physics in the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors for General Chemistry I/II Laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Teach one or more 3-hour General Chemistry I or II Laboratories per week for a semester.
  • Explain safety procedures, the experiments and expectations for each lab.
  • Assist students with the experimental procedures and data collection.
  • Create syllabus each semester using guidelines provided by department.
  • Provide office hours for students.
  • Manage online learning management system (Canvas) in consultation with the General Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in chemistry or related field or equivalent.
  • A graduate degree in chemistry or a related field will be given preference.
  • Experience teaching General Chemistry I/II laboratory.
