Location: Durham, NC • Duration: 12 months • 40 hours/week, 1st shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday–Friday) • Contract on W2 (US Citizens, GC holders, GC EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT only)
About the role
Performs fabrication, manufacture, assembly, testing, and packaging of medical devices. Sets up, operates, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment. Conducts quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assemble medical devices following documented procedures.
- Operate and maintain production equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Perform quality inspections using microscopes and other measurement tools.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Rotate into different tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Work overtime when requested by management due to business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–1 year of manufacturing assembly experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and reliable transportation.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret specifications in English and perform basic math calculations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work regularly and punctually.
Physical demands
Regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
