Geek Squad Delivery Driver

About the Role

As a Geek Squad Delivery Driver (internally referred to as a Delivery Experience Agent), you’ll be responsible for the delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of basic complexity appliances, televisions, and other tech.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, network, and repair devices with a focus on home theater equipment and appliances.
• Determine the best way to deliver major appliances into homes, including measuring and protecting areas in the installation route.
• Assess whether doors need to be detached or fixtures moved to facilitate delivery.
• Provide a seamless client experience by offering advice on product placement, services, and other relevant content.
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members.
• Process paperwork and payment, provide feedback to store teams, and complete in-store repairs.
• Train new drivers and lead or assist on two-person jobs, as well as perform work alone.

Requirements

• 6 months of experience in customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery.
• Current, valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets Best Buy’s safety standards (minimal violations/accidents).
• Ability to carry, lift, push, and pull up to 350 pounds alone or up to 700 pounds as part of a team, with the use of a harness, lift, or dolly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of being hired.

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership, decision-making, written and verbal communication, and client relations skills.
• Experience in an in-home installation environment.
• Experience using and learning about technology products.
