Delivery Service Driver
About the role
The Driver, Delivery Services is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of products while providing exceptional customer service. This position demonstrates safety, quality, and operational expertise that upholds brand standards and identifies incremental sales opportunities to support sales growth. The ideal candidate is forward-thinking, customer-focused, and skilled at both delivery execution and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe, efficient completion of daily delivery tasks, including package scanning, delivery/pickup, collecting proof of deliveries/pickups, and escalating barriers that prevent successful deliveries.
- Meet or exceed all safety and performance standards; maintain a clean professional appearance in the provided uniform.
- Adhere to all safety driving standards, including vehicle inspections, driving behaviors, and legal or regulatory requirements.
- Load, unload, and secure products, ensuring customers receive clean and damage-free merchandise.
- Contribute continuous improvement ideas and suggestions for an enhanced delivery experience.
- Actively pursue sales enablement opportunities through lead generation and promoting sales offerings.
- Communicate customer feedback to sales and/or supervisory personnel.
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience; package delivery experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and an accident-free driving record with no moving violations over a rolling 36-month period.
- Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required for operating delivery vehicles exceeding 26,000 lb. Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) and Hazmat Delivery.
- Department of Transportation (DOT) qualification.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, loading docks, desktop, and bulk deliveries preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing using the English language.
- Basic product knowledge to enable safe handling of goods.
- Knowledge of operation of power/mobile equipment.
- Geographical knowledge of the delivery service area.
- Ability to transport single cartons up to 75 pounds and handle items up to 200 lbs. with team lift or hand tools.
- Ability to use manual and/or powered pallet jacks to transport pallets of products up to 2,500 pounds.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including repetitive lifting, continuous climbing in and out of vehicles, and standing for long periods.
- Experience using POD or tablet devices for scanning customer products and GPS routing; familiarity with scanners and GIS devices preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $21.00/hour to $27.00/hour, with adjustments to comply with all state and local minimum wage requirements.
