About the Role

Must have strong knowledge of processes, prints, and procedures, including basic hands-on proficiency in Fin Press/Sheet Metal and Tubing, as well as other coil manufacturing disciplines and equipment. Assist less experienced operators in setting up and troubleshooting problems. Able to execute schedule requirements and promote safety in manufacturing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Works hands-on in assigned area using required equipment and materials.
• Assists in set-up and troubleshooting.
• Helps coordinate schedule requirements and executes under supervisor's directions.
• Approves and monitors quality and safety requirements.
• Ensures work area is left clean and organized.
• Uses equipment, including fin presses, expanders, cutoffs, benders, hand tools, and related equipment such as cranes.
• Performs mathematic calculations, comprehends decimals, and reads blueprints.
• Corrects tool wear and reports issues.
• Makes basic adjustments to equipment to keep processes in control.
• Multi-tasks to keep operations progressing.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Complete understanding of CCP paperwork used to manufacture coils.
• Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs; hoists or helpers must be used for weights exceeding this limit.
• Majority of the position requires standing and walking; bending and stooping are also required.
• Requires mental and visual alertness.
