About the role
Seeking a specialist in gastrointestinal procedures within an inpatient (IP) setting, handling an average of 10‑15 patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and bleeding fulguration (cautery or laser)
- Conduct small bowel biopsy
- Perform lower GI endoscopy and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
- ERCP is not required
- Provide patient care, demonstrate procedural expertise, and adhere to licensing and certification standards
Requirements
- Active North Carolina medical license
- DEA registration
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
