Gas Survey Technician - Mesquite

Responsibilities

• Inspect gas lines and pipes to determine the origin and severity of a gas leak.
• Train to detect, locate, and evaluate gas leaks.
• Report leaks to the local gas company.
• Drive a company vehicle, with the possibility of using a personal vehicle during training (typically 4-5 weeks).
• Learn how to accurately detect and classify natural gas leaks.
• Walk 5 or more miles per day, working outdoors in all weather conditions and environments.
• Travel up to 75% of the time, including occasional weekends.
• Drive in all-weather conditions.
• Adhere to all safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Pass qualification tests for this role.

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot technology as needed.
• Ability to learn training material in classroom format and/or online courses.
• Flexibility to travel up to 75% of the time, including occasional weekends.
• Available for overtime (which may include weekends).
• Comfortable using computers/technology.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn training material in classroom format and/or online courses and be able to pass all qualification tests for this role.

Physical And Additional Requirements

• Bend, crouch, kneel, and walk several miles per day.
• Carry a minimum of 20 lbs. of equipment.
• Communicate with customers in a courteous manner, displaying excellent customer service.
• Follow all company/client procedures.
• Be available for overtime (which may include weekends).
• Be comfortable using computers/technology.

Pay

Starting pay is $20.25 per hour to start with an increase of .50 cents at 60 and 180 days. Comprehensive Benefits Package includes Medical/Dental/Vision Plan & 401K, Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO) starting Day 1, Paid Holidays, Mileage Reimbursement or a Company Vehicle.
