About the role

The Leak Survey Technician position at GridHawk LLC focuses on identifying and assessing gas leaks within designated areas. This role involves using various procedures and tools to detect and evaluate leaks, and reporting findings accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately detect and classify gas leaks while inspecting designated areas
  • Locate and accurately assess the origin of damage and gas leaks
  • Record and process effective data
  • Paperwork, notifications, etc.
  • Utilize tools in order to effectively complete job tasks
  • Use of prints, maps, and past records
  • Utilize locating tools, technology, and equipment
  • Effective communication with Project Management
  • Daily check-ins
  • Completed reports
  • Target completion

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Valid driver’s license
  • No more than 3 moving violations within a rolling 5 year period
  • Satisfactory background screening
  • Negative DOT pre-employment drug screen

Essential Skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of safe worksite practices
  • Experience using basic communication and tech devices

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of moving about on construction work sites, public streets and parkways
  • Capable of lifting up to 50/75lbs
  • Standing, walking, kneeling or sitting for extended periods
  • Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various measurement, locating and testing instruments

Work Environment

  • Work safely outside in all weather conditions year-round
  • Occasionally work in excavations areas and roadways
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally moderate to loud

Salary/Pay

Hourly Pay varies based on experience
