Gas Operations Supervisor

Waste Management, Inc., a leader in environmental services across North America, is seeking a dedicated Gas Operations Supervisor to oversee gas recovery and processing facilities. This position is pivotal in supporting our commitment to sustainability by supervising activities that convert waste-derived biogas into renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of gas collection and processing facilities to ensure efficiency and compliance with governmental regulations.
• Manage maintenance schedule and coordinate with engineering to optimize site equipment and infrastructure.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce safety standards to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Lead and train a team of technicians and junior engineers, promoting developmental activities and professional growth.
• Monitor and report operational progress and system performances against energy generation targets.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate gas operations with overall site objectives concerning waste management and recycling.
• Stay updated with latest technologies and regulatory requirements related to biogas and renewable energy.
