Gas Crew Leadman

About the role

As a Gas Utility Leadman, you will report to and be the right hand to the crew Foreman, playing a key role in leading your crew through the installation and repair of gas lines while ensuring strict compliance with safety and quality standards. You'll lead by example and engage in general labor tasks as needed to keep projects on track.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising all crew personnel on daily job tasks
• Submit daily reports outlining daily job activities
• Assist in managing work sequences to meet customer schedules
• Comply with industry and customer operating procedures while ensuring safety and quality
• Step in to lead the crew in the interim absence of the Foreman to remain operational
• Maintain all industry-required Operator Qualifications
• Perform other tasks as requested by leadership

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• 1+ years prior experience in gas utility industry
• Fluency in English (all worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, including overhead, and perform prolonged and repeated: standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling
• Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
• Join and maintain Union membership

Work Environment

• Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness
