Gaming Attendant

About the role

Responsible for servicing and building relationships with guests, paying hand-pay jackpots, and performing minor repairs on HHR machines. Ensures all department paperwork and data entry is completed and entered correctly, including jackpot slips, tax documents, guest claim forms, and maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all department paperwork and data entry is completed and entered correctly, including jackpot slips, tax documents, guest claim forms.
• Maintains the electronic components, systems, and peripherals of HHR machines; performs preventative maintenance on HHR Machines during down time.
• Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
• Has knowledge of all HHR machines on the gaming floor and can determine proper payouts.
• Protects company assets by adhering to company policies and all state and regulatory compliance including Internal Controls Policies and Procedures, The Responsible Gaming Plan and Title 31.
• Promotes player card usage on the gaming floor.
• Maintain paper levels in all terminals for optimal play.
• Notifies shift supervisor of irregularities in guests’ play.
• Safeguards gaming devices and ensures they are available for play.
• Knowledgeable of all basic Virginia Racing Commission rules and regulations.
• Maintains knowledge of company policies to ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months experience in a related field, preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent guest service skills in a high-volume environment, preferred.
• Knowledge of gaming operations, rules, and regulations, preferred.

Skills

• Knowledgeable of all basic Virginia Racing Commission rules and regulations.
