About the Role

Arcade Game Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of attractions and arcade games at Malibu Jack's in Lafayette, IN. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities

• Handle calls on the game floor, bowling, and simulators.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines.
• Inform the Technical Manager of potential machine problems.
• Assess every game every week.
• Complete weekly projects, tasks, maintenance sheets, and cleaning checklists as assigned by the Technical Manager.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workshop.
• Ensure all self-contained games are stocked with prizes.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure staff follow all safety rules.
• Maintain game appearance and stocking throughout open hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Technical disposition with a natural attention to detail, willingness to learn, self-drive, and technical mindedness.
• No prior experience or training required; some mechanical background preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office Professional.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using units of fractions, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Position requires consistent activity, such as walking, bending, and lifting.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
• Employment may require a background check.
