Game Operations Assistant (Temp)
Essential Job Duties
Game Operations Assistants provide support to Facilities & Operation staff in maintaining and operating all NC State Athletics facilities and game-day events. Responsibilities include completing game-day operations tasks as assigned, such as assisting with customer service to patrons, ingress and egress of events, serving as a liaison for the athletics department to various guest personnel, assisting with event set-ups, changeovers, and event support for a variety of events held in all athletic facilities or non-athletic facilities that may be hosting an athletics event, providing administrative support to Facilities & Operations, including clerical, data gathering, research, and surveys, and completing tasks as assigned by Athletic Department Administrators as needed.
Requirements and Preferences
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prompt, professional, and positive demeanor
- Effective interpersonal communications skills
- Adequate writing skills
- Ability to carry up to 30 pounds for an extended distance
- Understanding and following all safety policies and procedures
- Knowledge of collegiate athletics (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with the general public, students, coaches, and administrators
- Strong work ethic, customer service oriented, and punctual
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Rationalize and resolve event management issues and conflicts
- Compliance with NCAA and ACC guidelines
