Essential Job Duties: Game Operations Assistants provide support to Facilities & Operation staff in maintaining and operating all NC State Athletics facilities and game-day events.

Responsibilities

  • Complete game-day operations tasks as assigned including assisting with customer service to patrons, ingress and egress of events, serving as a liaison for the athletics department to various guest personnel, etc.
  • Aid with event set-ups, changeovers, and event support for a variety of events held in all athletic facilities or non-athletic facilities that may be hosting an athletics event.
  • Provide administrative support to Facilities & Operations, including clerical, data gathering, research, and surveys.
  • Complete tasks as assigned by Athletic Department Administrators as needed.

Requirements and Preferences

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prompt, professional, and positive demeanor.
  • Effective interpersonal communications and writing skills.
  • Able to carry up to 30 pounds for an extended distance.
  • Understanding and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of collegiate athletics preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the general public, students, coaches, and administrators.
  • Strong work ethic, customer service orientation, and punctuality.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Rationalization and resolution of event management issues and conflicts.
  • Familiarity with NCAA and ACC guidelines.
