Responsibilities

  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for children and their families.
  • Foster strong bonds and support the comprehensive development of children, including those with disabilities.
  • Design and execute learning experiences that cover physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and tailor the curriculum to individual needs.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision.

Requirements

  • Current pay rates vary based on years of experience, the county in which you are employed, and your educational qualifications.
  • Experience working with children in early childhood education settings.
  • Knowledge of GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards and the GA Pre-K Curriculum.
  • Ability to create and implement age-appropriate learning experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Valid Georgia teaching certificate or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Experience working with children with special needs is preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
