Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing and positive environment for children and their families.
- Foster strong bonds and support the comprehensive development of children, including those with disabilities.
- Design and execute learning experiences that cover physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression.
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and tailor the curriculum to individual needs.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, including hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision.
Requirements
- Current pay rates vary based on years of experience, the county in which you are employed, and your educational qualifications.
- Experience working with children in early childhood education settings.
- Knowledge of GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards and the GA Pre-K Curriculum.
- Ability to create and implement age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid Georgia teaching certificate or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
- Experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
