About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to lead our Georgia Pre-K program. As a GA Pre-K Lead Teacher, you will oversee classroom activities, adhere to GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards, and align with the GA Pre-K Curriculum objectives.
Responsibilities
- Create a nurturing and positive environment for children and their families
- Foster strong bonds and support comprehensive development in physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive skills, and creative expression
- Design and execute learning experiences that cover a broad range of developmental areas
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor children's progress and tailor the curriculum to meet individual needs, including those with disabilities
- Hold yourself accountable for maintaining a secure and clean environment through adherence to strict health and safety protocols, including hygiene, food handling, illness management, and child supervision
Requirements
While specific requirements may vary, candidates should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- At least two years of teaching experience in early childhood education
- Knowledge of GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards and the GA Pre-K Curriculum
- Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with child development and learning theories
Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- A valid Georgia teaching certificate
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
