About the role
Manage shifts and delegate tasks, restock the register nightly, take deposits to the bank, assist with inventory management, and communicate with managers/owners regarding inventory and employee performance.
Responsibilities
- Act as manager when manager is unavailable
- In charge of shifts and delegating tasks
- Restock the register nightly for the correct change
- Take deposits to the bank several times a week and maintain an accurate count of petty cash
- Aid in managing inventory and placing orders
- Aid in scheduling and gathering employee feedback
- Lead the team, ensuring food is prepared accurately and served promptly
- Show exemplary knowledge of the job and excellent customer service
- Deal with upset customers/problems with food politely, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Accept deliveries, verifying completeness and accuracy, or issuing refunds
- Communicate with managers/owners about inventory status, employee performance, and new ideas
- Manage the break schedule, ensuring employees are present and taking breaks appropriately
- Attend Management Meetings
- Assist with interviews, evaluations, and training
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers
Qualifications
- Become food certified
- Must be able to handle a basic computer, POS system; handle cash and credit cards
- Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, occasionally lift heavy boxes, move quickly, and have a sense of urgency
- Maintain a clean and work-appropriate personal appearance
- Have a positive attitude and be willing to work well with others
- Leadership abilities and management experience a plus
- Restaurant experience a plus

- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of Vitality Bowls menu and preparation methods
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare food in a timely and sanitary manner
