About the Role
This position is responsible for fusing polyethylene pipe at customer job sites, maintaining McElroy equipment, and providing technical support to assigned customers. The candidate must follow manufacturer’s instructions and possess technical knowledge of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Determine appropriate method and equipment necessary to install pipe.
- Provide and install custom HDPE piping systems and repair systems.
- Perform electro fusion and structure welding.
- Inspect and maintain fusion equipment.
- Communicate with customers to assess needs and identify installation/repair requirements.
- Ensure final product meets quality control standards.
- Assist with emergency call-outs as needed.
- Work under limited supervision, relying on experience and judgment to determine the best outcome.
Requirements
- Experience in electro fusion and structure welding.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must complete a CDL physical.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasional sitting required.
- Must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
