Job Responsibilities
- Arranges conference with deceased next of kin
- Conducts removals or transfers
- Greets next of kin and escorts to meeting space
- Facilitates Arrangements Conference
- Counsels or advises on funeral services
- Directs services at visitation, funeral, or graveside services
- Planners events and produces MeM products
- Prepares event rooms and cleans up after events
- Performs attendant duties as needed
- Works under general guidance
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science
- Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Industry experience is preferred

- Cognitive ability to reason, plan, identify problems, learn quickly, and apply learning to new situations
- Process and results-oriented, motivated to keep projects moving ahead
- Positive attitude, drive to advance industry knowledge, and high self-motivation
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Public speaking skills to influence and gain consensus
- Proficient in databases and MS Office
Skills
- Manual dexterity for paperwork, calculators, computers, and phones
- Pushing and pulling up to 150 pounds on flat and inclined flooring or ramps
