Funds Transfer Specialist
About the role
HilltopSecurities is looking to hire a Funds Transfer Specialist to provide support to cities, school districts, counties, and other government entity participants.
Responsibilities
- Answering participant calls on department 800 number
- Processing manual transaction requests from government investment pool and white label fund participants
- Communicating with clients regarding their requests for wire and ACH deposits and withdrawals, direct deposit, debt service payments, and internal transfer transactions
- Daily management of manual transaction requests and changes to transfer agent
- Continual review of DDA accounts to ensure timely flow of daily fund transfer activity
- Performing end-of-day DDA account and ACH file reconciliation for all pools/funds
- Carrying out various reporting responsibilities related to pool activity, operational activity, participant account matters, and resolution
- Serving as the backup to the Account Specialist and assisting the Client Services Manager with special projects as assigned
- Performing other functions as needed
Qualifications
- A high school diploma with equivalent banking experience, or an associate’s degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years in banking/financial services with increasing responsibility
- Senior teller experience preferred, especially with experience supporting high-value clients
- ACH/wire transaction experience
- Strong reconciliation, reporting, and account monitoring skills in high-volume environments
- Accurate and timely data entry skills with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
