Funds Program Manager
Founders Pledge empowers entrepreneurs to maximize their charitable impact. Since 2015, our community of over 2,300 members has pledged nearly $13.6B and donated $1.9B+ across 45+ countries. We provide end-to-end giving infrastructure, pioneering research, and access to a global network of experts, helping tech leaders become strategic philanthropists. Our members include founders and leaders behind companies such as Airbnb, UiPath, Dropbox, Skype, Spotify, and Uber.
About the role
Founders Pledge primarily funds high-impact opportunities through direct donations from members or through themed Funds. As our Funds grow in importance, we need a dedicated Funds Program Manager to serve as the operational hub for our Fund Managers. You’ll streamline fundraising execution, fix data workflows, and ensure seamless information flow across teams, allowing us to deploy capital quickly and effectively.
Reporting to our Research Operations Lead, you’ll build, implement, and improve robust systems to match our global ambition. You’ll also provide operational and administrative support to Fund Managers and the research team, helping scale their impact.
Responsibilities
- Own Fundraising Operations & Data Systems
- Build and scale centralized, robust tracking systems for all quantitative and qualitative fund data (commitments, capital inflows/outflows, and fund performance), replacing current ad-hoc processes.
- Identify strategic or operational bottlenecks and recommend improvements to aid fund scalability.
- Map and balance the donor pipeline against the research pipeline of High-Impact Funding Opportunities (HIFOs) to ensure capital supply matches disbursement demand.
- Streamline grantmaking mechanics, co-owning end-to-end coordination of Fund operations, including grant tracking, timelines, committee coordination, approvals, and disbursements.
- Proactively surface risks to senior leadership (e.g., delays in research sign-off, capital shortfalls, execution constraints).
- Manage one-off donor and funder requests, including tailored reporting, special conditions, or agreement-related obligations.
- Drive Internal Coordination & Information Flow
- Eliminate operational friction between Fund Managers, Research teams, and public-facing Communications and Member Experience teams.
- Act as the operational connective tissue to ensure fund materials, external posts, internal memos, and impact reports are accurate, timely, and aligned.
- Work closely with the Impact Analytics team to coordinate external reporting and manage one-off donor requests and special conditions.
- Support high-stakes fund launches and reopenings, including project-managing the relaunch of the Animal Welfare Fund.
- Provide Administrative and Operational Support
- Provide administrative support to Fund Managers, including email drafting and management, scheduling, meeting preparation, and travel/logistics coordination.
- Assist the Research Operations Lead with repeatable, process-driven work to build operational fluency.
Requirements
- Operational experience: Significant experience managing complex operations, multi-stakeholder projects, or data pipelines—ideally in grantmaking, consulting, or a fast-moving nonprofit environment.
- Ecosystem experience: Direct experience working with philanthropic Funds, grantmaking operations, philanthropic services, or a foundation/donor-advised fund context.
- Systems-builder mindset: Proactive in building and improving processes; highly fluent with tools like Salesforce, Notion, Asana, or Google Workspace to reduce organizational friction.
- High attention to detail: Commitment to flawless accuracy in tracking and disbursements to maintain donor trust.
- Clear, proactive communication: Ability to manage multiple threads, translate complex data into actionable insights, and surface risks to leadership.
- Comfort with ambiguity: Ability to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects, and stakeholders while initiating solutions independently.
