Fund Manager
Purpose and Job Summary
The Fund Manager, as part of the larger Investment Management team at Boston Financial, is responsible for:
- Making decisions to achieve the investment objectives of their fund portfolio.
- Providing timely and responsive service and meaningful reports and analysis to corporate investors.
- Managing the fund level reserves to protect the investors' investments, promote fund sustainability through its investment period, and maximize revenue to Boston Financial.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Setting fund strategy, participating in resolution of portfolio or property issues including reviewing and interpreting partnership agreements and other legal documents in the course of developing property/fund strategies.
- Preparing long-term projections of tax credits, tax losses and cash distributions for investors.
- Preparing IRR analyses of fund performance.
- Tracking actual and expected results of each property as compared to objectives.
- Conducting quarterly fund reserve review to ensure fund sustainability and profit maximization, which includes all cash inflow and outflow.
- Determining the impact of dispositions and residuals on fund performance and fund sustainability.
- Aiding with investor ad hoc requests as required.
- Preparation of quarterly and annual investor reports discussing investment performance and property performance.
- Aiding in asset management, tax, and accounting issues for investors.
- Aiding in the review of annual Schedule K-1 as well as the preparation of annual K-1 reports.
- Collaboration with Legal and Production to monitor and ensure compliance on investor side letter agreements and partnership terms.
- Planning and executing investor due diligence meetings and other client presentations.
Education, Skills And Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; training in a real estate and/or finance discipline recommended.
- Experience: 5-7 years relevant experience necessary.
- Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills, proven customer service orientation and experience, ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based, sales-oriented, fast-paced environment, self-starter with ability to take the initiative, strong organizational skills, strong technology/computer skills, solid experience using Microsoft Excel.
Pay
Annual base salary gross: $115,000 - $130,000 (MA only).
The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of ORIX’s salary for this position based on geography. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX’s total compensation package for employees.
