Fund Finance Manager – LA

About the role

A successful investment firm based in LA is seeking a Fund Finance Manager to join their Finance & Accounting team. This pivotal role involves managing the third-party administrator, reviewing their work, collaborating with the Deals team, and engaging with various internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting, valuations, and internal/external reporting
• Liaise with fund administrator for investments, capital calls, distributions, management fee calculations, and quarterly financial statement reporting
• Respond to investor requests for reports and information
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows within the finance function
• Contribute to the development and implementation of internal financial controls
• Act as a liaison with external auditors
• Assist with additional ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
• 3–7 years of experience in a fund accounting and/or audit role working with funds
• CPA designation desirable but not required
• Exposure to US GAAP and ASC 820 Valuations
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter with a motivated and detail-oriented approach

Schedule

This role requires 5 days in the office.
