Role Description
This position will assist the Fund Development team with securing financial support for GSWPA annual fundraising appeals, such as, but not limited to, direct mail & online appeals, foundation grants, special events, and donor giving programs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Complete GsLearn Training modules and develop an understanding of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
- Aid in the development and implementation of donor cultivation and stewardship activities, including thank-you letters, calls, and emails.
- Learn and utilize donor database and other essential databases to track donor information and manage fundraising efforts.
- Research Support the Fund Development team in researching online data to identify potential prospects and donors.
- Aid in compiling data and success stories for stewardship and solicitation purposes.
- Support in data entry and maintenance of records related to prospecting and gift receipting services.
- Aid in creating and maintaining organized files containing proposal drafts, research materials, and related documents.
- Online research, statistical research and reporting activities for the purpose of increasing a more donor-centric framework for identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of current and new donors.
- Aid in researching local, regional and national organizations interested in supporting Girl Scouts Western PA.
- Determine how to best contact these organizations and compile information and data about the organizations.
- When applicable, intern may provide support for occasional fundraising events, including logistics, volunteer coordination, and event materials preparation.
- Assist with post-event follow-up, including preparing reports on event success and donor engagement.
