TMNA ESV's (Electronic Systems Vehicle) Vehicle Development team is seeking a collaborative engineer to work on Functional ECUs and Smart Security. Reporting to the Vehicle Development Senior Manager, this role supports the objective of building a North American electronics center of excellence that complements global direction.
About the role
The primary responsibility of this role is vehicle development for Functional ECUs and Smart Security.
Responsibilities
- Vehicle application of Functional ECUs (power slide door ECU, power tailgate ECU, Seat ECU, Window ECU, Sunroof ECU, etc.) and Smart Security (Smart ECU, Immobi, antennas, etc.)
- Plan structure and design of Functional ECUs and Smart Security through target setting, packaging, and style feasibility that balances performance, customer needs, and cost while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Issue design specifications to suppliers and manage supplier schedule, performance, and quality
- Manage part list and issue internal design documents including engineering change instructions and wiring specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5 years or more as an electrical design engineer
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work up to 30% overtime
Skills
- Experience in vehicle electronics development (preferred)
- Experience in CATIA (preferred)
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
