About the Role
This position focuses on defending administrative agency charges and attorney demand letters on behalf of employer clients nationwide. Attorneys in this role work directly with clients on complex employment matters while benefiting from a reduced billable requirement, no business development obligations, and no required travel.
Responsibilities
- Manage administrative agency charges from initial investigation through resolution.
- Draft persuasive position statements for federal and state employment agencies.
- Respond to agency requests for information and investigative inquiries.
- Represent employers during settlement negotiations and remote mediations.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding strategy, risk assessment, and case developments.
- Manage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines and client expectations.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) required.
- Active bar license in the candidate's state of residence.
- Minimum of 6 years of employment law experience.
- Significant experience handling administrative agency charges on behalf of employers.
- Strong background drafting position statements and representing clients in hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
Management-side labor and employment experience strongly preferred.
