Responsibilities
- Surgical PA Services first assist in the OR for specialties including but not limited to general, plastic, spine, bariatric and OB/GYN cases.
- Rounding on general surgery patients daily as a team-based approach with attendings, residents, students.
- Cover admissions and consults for general surgeons.
- On-call from home, covering first assisting emergent OR cases, admissions, and consults for general surgery.
- Performing floor procedures such as NG tube insertion and removal, wound vac and dressing changes, bedside I&D.
- Cross-covering with Vassar Brothers Medical Center PA services in a limited capacity.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certified.
- Strong surgical and patient management experience.
- At least one to three years of surgical experience or surgical residency training preferred, but new graduates and nurse practitioners with RNF certification and surgical experience will be considered.

Pay
$120,000.00 - $156,000.00 per year based on experience.
Schedule
Four 10-hour shifts per week with one weekend shift per month.
