Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery - Full Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery to join a dedicated surgical team. This is a full-time inpatient role with responsibilities in the operating room (OR), intensive care unit (ICU), and clinics. The position involves Monday-Friday coverage and does not include locums work.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients.
• Assist in complex cardiac surgeries.
• Manage patient care in the ICU, surgical floor, and clinics.
• Perform bedside procedures.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.
• Engage in ongoing continuing medical education (CME) to enhance clinical skills.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• NCCPA certification.
• 3+ years of experience in cardiac surgery and/or ICU.
• DEA license with full prescriptive authority.
• Unrestricted clinical privileges.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid billing.
• No history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.

Pay

Salary range: $100,588–$143,769.
