About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant in Cardiothoracic Surgery to join a dedicated surgical team. This is a full-time inpatient role with responsibilities in the operating room (OR), intensive care unit (ICU), and clinics. The position involves Monday-Friday coverage and does not include locums work.
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients.
- Assist in complex cardiac surgeries.
- Manage patient care in the ICU, surgical floor, and clinics.
- Perform bedside procedures.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and prescribe medications.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.
- Engage in ongoing continuing medical education (CME) to enhance clinical skills.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- NCCPA certification.
- 3+ years of experience in cardiac surgery and/or ICU.
- DEA license with full prescriptive authority.
- Unrestricted clinical privileges.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Eligibility for Medicare/Medicaid billing.
- No history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
Pay
Salary range: $100,588–$143,769.
