About the role
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our daytime healthcare team at a correctional facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Conduct nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
- Respond to medical concerns and emergencies professionally
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and correctional staff to ensure quality care
- Ensure continuity of care while adhering to clinical standards and policies
Requirements
- Experience in correctional healthcare or willingness to learn
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to respond confidently to medical emergencies
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
