About the Role
Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full-Time Sous Chef to work at Yankee Hill Village, a community with 47 independent living, 59 assisted living, and 16 memory support apartment homes located at 8401 South 33rd Street, Lincoln, NE 68516.
Schedule
- Generally 6:00am–2:00pm each Sunday and Thursday
- 7:00am–3:00pm each Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (including holidays)
- Availability to work the lunch/dinner shift (10:30am–7:00pm) as needed is a plus
Pay
Up to $25.00/hour, based on experience, certifications, skills, and education.

Responsibilities
- All types of food preparation, including baking, grilling, stove-top, and oven cooking
- Cleaning the kitchen
- Overseeing progress of kitchen staff abilities, kitchen projects, or special events
- Managing certain aspects of food preparation in the kitchen
- Inventory management
- Overseeing kitchen function when the Team Lead of Food & Nutrition Services is not available
Requirements
- Two (2) years of cooking experience above the level of fast food/fast casual dining
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) or willingness to obtain (Immanuel will pay for the training)
- At least 1 year of supervisory/training/mentor experience in a kitchen setting
- Minimum age of 19 years old
