A Day in the Life

We are seeking a talented Sous Chef who will assist the Executive Chef run the day-to-day culinary operation of the Hotel. Responsible for all aspects of managing the Kitchen and Kitchen personnel, payroll, team member's training, quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storing of all food items in accordance with standards. Coordinates the purchase of all food maintaining approved food costs and labor costs for both the restaurant and banquets.

YOU OWN THIS IF YOU HAVE

  • Minimum 3+ years previous experience in multiple Culinary/Food & Beverage department head positions
  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Good command of spoken and written English/Spanish a plus
  • Strong leadership, planning and communication skills
  • Must have valid food safety certification exam, such as ServSafe
