Role Overview: This position involves providing direct nursing care within the Mother & Baby Unit, primarily during night shifts, with shift differentials. The nurse will deliver safe patient care across diverse age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.Assist with tests, procedures, and medication administration, including IV medications, following safety protocols.Ensure accurate medical records and respond to patient and departmental inquiries.Participate in orientation and precepting of new staff, providing clinical leadership and guidance.Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, adhering to hospital policies and safety protocols.Support emergency responses and promote patient safety by identifying risks and reporting concerns.Engage in professional development through educational programs and literature review. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a valid RN license.CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.Experience is not mandatory; bilingual skills in English/Spanish are a plus.Ability to perform heavy physical work and work in hazardous environments with proper PPE.
