Full-Time RN - Inpatient

About the role

This position involves providing direct nursing care within the Mother & Baby Unit, primarily during night shifts, with shift differentials. The nurse will deliver safe patient care across diverse age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Assist with tests, procedures, and medication administration, including IV medications, following safety protocols.
• Ensure accurate medical records and respond to patient and departmental inquiries.
• Participate in orientation and precepting of new staff, providing clinical leadership and guidance.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, adhering to hospital policies and safety protocols.
• Support emergency responses and promote patient safety by identifying risks and reporting concerns.
• Engage in professional development through educational programs and literature review.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a valid RN license.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience is not mandatory.

Skills

• Bilingual skills in English/Spanish are a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work and work in hazardous environments with proper PPE.
