Role Overview: Provide direct nursing care within the Adult IP Admission Unit, serving diverse age groups including Neonate to Geriatric. Offer clinical leadership, serve as a role model, and assume relief charge duties when assigned. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and promote a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, personalized patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans, including discharge planning and patient education.Assist with tests, procedures, and medication administration, ensuring proper documentation and patient safety.Participate in orientation, precepting new staff, and emergency response efforts.Maintain accurate medical records and respond to inquiries following departmental policies.Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and promote patient safety by adhering to policies, reporting hazards, and encouraging patient engagement.Contribute to professional development through ongoing education and participation in workshops and meetings. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.RN licensure in NM or as permitted by reciprocal agreement.CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days.Experience not mandatory; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.Physical ability to perform heavy work and work in hazardous environments with PPE.
