Full-Time Inpatient RN

About the role

Provide direct nursing care within the Adult IP Admission Unit, serving diverse age groups including Neonate to Geriatric. Offer clinical leadership, serve as a role model, and assume relief charge duties when assigned. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and promote a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, personalized patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans, including discharge planning and patient education.
• Assist with tests, procedures, and medication administration, ensuring proper documentation and patient safety.
• Participate in orientation, precepting new staff, and emergency response efforts.
• Maintain accurate medical records and respond to inquiries following departmental policies.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and promote patient safety by adhering to policies, reporting hazards, and encouraging patient engagement.
• Contribute to professional development through ongoing education and participation in workshops and meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• RN licensure in NM or as permitted by reciprocal agreement.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days.
• Experience not mandatory; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
• Physical ability to perform heavy work and work in hazardous environments with PPE.
