Full Time Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview

The Respiratory Therapist provides essential respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to patients of all ages, from neonatal to geriatric.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, monitor, and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and EKG reporting
• Deliver intermittent therapies
• Assist with artificial airway management
• Document clinical information
• Educate patients and staff
• Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures
• Adapt care to patient age and needs

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's degree in respiratory or pulmonary therapy
• Valid license as a Respiratory Therapist
• Certification as a Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care

Additional Requirements

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and patient mobility
• Work in a healthcare environment with exposure risks
• Maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory standards
• Demonstrate flexibility for on-call and varied shifts
