Full-Time Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Job Summary The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing department or unit. They utilize the nursing process, a critical thinking framework, to guide decision-making and collaborate with patients and families to promote health and restore well-being. The role involves providing clinical leadership, ensuring safe, quality care that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. They work closely with management to maintain continuity of care and achieve departmental goals. Responsibilities Interpret, review, and integrate diagnostic data relevant to patient conditions.Collaborate with leadership and other disciplines to identify improvement opportunities and drive change.Guide and intervene during life-threatening situations.Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and outcomes.Implement innovative processes to enhance patient outcomes.Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations.Support activities aimed at improving healthcare delivery and communicate effectively with team members.Promote lifelong learning and complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years' experience in the current or similar setting.Computer literacy.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred.
