Full Time - Operations - Assistant Community Manager - Bridgeport
About the role
The Assistant Community Manager will lease apartments and work with the Residential Manager in the general administration of the property. Responsibilities will vary based on the size of the residential community and the supervising Residential Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lease apartments
- Work with the Residential Manager in the general administration of the property
- Perform all related leasing, operational, administrative, and bookkeeping functions
- Assist in the performance of the Community Manager’s duties in the Manager’s absence
Requirements
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a variety of practical situations and accurately follow standardized procedures
- Legible penmanship and accurate typing skills
- The ability to think rationally beyond a specific set of instructions
- The ability to correctly deal with lease documents, fill out paperwork, and keep accurate records
- The ability to work with figures and make bank deposits
- The ability to compute rental amounts, prorates, discounts, percentages, and basic math computations
- The capability to operate fax/copy machine, vacuum, telephone, typewriter, calculator, and be computer literate or willing to be trained
- Good customer service skills and ability to resolve resident and prospect problems
- Good communication skills and ability to successfully interact with all types of people, a professional phone manner, an outgoing personality, and the sales capability to lease apartments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Prior apartment management, sales, and administrative experience preferred
- Reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license, and current liability insurance coverage
- Tax credit experience preferred (When applicable)
