About the Role
The Unit Manager/Director - RN oversees nursing operations within an assigned unit, supporting the Director of Nursing to deliver high-quality care, achieve positive clinical outcomes, and ensure patient, resident, family, and staff satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and manage nursing and patient care activities on the unit.
- Ensure care delivery aligns with organizational mission, policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Manage human resources, including staff recruitment, orientation, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions, while minimizing overtime and agency use.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school or university.
- Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
