Full-Time Neurology Nurse

About the role

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. This role involves working in a specialized inpatient rehabilitation unit for adult and geriatric patients requiring intensive therapy for conditions such as stroke, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, and trauma. The position emphasizes safety, patient education, and collaborative care within a high-performing hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with collaborative input from patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers to involvement.
• Participates in professional development and promotes a healing environment through education and support.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Licensure as an RN required; 2+ years of experience preferred.
