Full-Time Nanny Position
About the role
You’ll provide care for children toddler to elementary school age while their parents work. Most assignments are Monday – Friday during traditional working hours. Several positions are available in your area, ranging from 30 – 40+ hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Care for children in their homes
- Engage children with fun, play, reading, arts and crafts, and similar activities
- Perform common-sense clean-up of activities and meals with the child
- Provide safety and lead hands-on, age-appropriate activities based on observations of the children’s development
- Communicate effectively with parents and coworkers
You will never be required to drive or transport children, and no other household duties are expected beyond clean-up related to your activities with the child.
Requirements
- Genuine enjoyment of children and a creative, child-focused approach
- Available at least five days per week to work 6 - 9 hour shifts between 7am - 7pm
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- At least 1 year of day-to-day childcare experience (paid or unpaid)
- Ability to provide 3 references: 2 related to working with children and 1 character reference
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Reliability and dependability for families
Pay
Hourly wage: $16–18 per hour
