Full Time Mini-Golf Attendant - The Inn at Canaan

About the Role
We're looking for a hardworking Full-Time Mini-Golf Attendant to handle merchandise and mini-golf sales, serve food and beverages, and ensure excellent customer service. You'll support the pace of play on the course and assist with events like birthday parties and group outings.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and provide services, assistance, and general information.
- Ensure the miniature golf course area is safe and patrons follow rules and regulations.
- Maintain golf course and restroom facilities by cleaning, sweeping, restocking supplies, and disposing of trash.
- Supervise birthday parties, group outings, and other rental functions.
- Answer telephone inquiries about facility operations, activities, and functions.
- Plan, create, and carry out program activities.
- Arrange supplies and equipment, ensuring proper function.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, following appropriate procedures and administering first aid if needed.
Requirements
- General knowledge of facility functions, activities, and safety procedures.
- Skill in customer service principles and techniques.
- Ability to interact with diverse customers of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to perform moderate manual work and work with children and families.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies.
- Ability to follow policies and guidelines set by the company.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions or directions.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Ability to demonstrate professional work habits: reliability, dependability, punctuality, adaptability, creativity, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain effective working relationships.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
- Requires grasping, fingering, repetitive hand movement, and fine coordination for operating equipment.
- Must lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.
- Vocal communication required for exchanging ideas and conveying instructions.
- Hearing required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels.
- Visual acuity required for operating machines, analyzing data, and inspecting small defects.
Work Environment
- Outdoor environment with exposure to seasonal temperatures, adverse weather, humidity, and slippery surfaces.
- May be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, allergenic substances, blood, and body fluids (PPE provided).
- Occasional work near moving mechanical parts or systems.
- Loud noise levels may require shouting to be heard.
- Interaction with distressed or upset staff and patrons.
Pay
$12.00–$15.00 per hour (based on experience).
