Full-Time Lecturer (Piano)

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Teaching will include group piano, applied piano, and other music courses related to their areas of expertise.
• Teaching may also include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Master of Music degree in piano or piano pedagogy.
• Significant experience teaching piano in group and lesson settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• A doctorate in music.
• College teaching experience.
