Full Time Instructor, School of Nursing - MSN Required

About the Role
Instructors teach courses in various modalities while promoting and supporting the vision and mission of Rasmussen University. Faculty typically teach 4.5–5.5 work units each quarter, equating to a full-time schedule. Responsibilities focus on effective teaching, student engagement, curriculum development, and student support.
Responsibilities
- Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques to create an environment conducive to learning.
- Foster high levels of student engagement through activities, community building, and student-centered learning, including synchronous sessions.
- Ensure clarity, relevance, and connection of class objectives to course performance.
- Maintain an organized classroom and efficient use of class time.
- Demonstrate mastery of subject matter and effectively articulate concepts to students.
- Play an integral role in curriculum development and assessment for your area of expertise.
- Support student success through availability for synchronous or asynchronous communication and meetings.
- Attend events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as designated by the Dean.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (required).
- Active, unencumbered Florida RN license.
- Active CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- 1 year of clinical experience as an RN (2+ years preferred).
- Previous teaching or training experience (preferred).
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
- Proof of professional licenses/certifications, official transcripts for each degree, and faculty immunization documentation required.
Reporting Relationships
The Instructor reports to the Nursing Administrator, which may be an Area Dean of Nursing or Dean of Nursing depending on location.
