About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver all lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum.
  • Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms; develop new ones as directed by the President.
  • Maintain a daily lesson plan of instructional events.
  • Monitor and document student attendance and retention as required by administration.
  • Grade assignments, return them to students, and assign final grades in a timely manner.
  • Provide educational assistance to students during office hours or by appointment.
  • Substitute in classes when necessary.
  • Advise students on school policies and performance expectations; maintain communication with the Dean of Education.
  • Submit current textbook, supply, and equipment needs to the Dean of Education in writing.
  • Monitor equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities; secure consumable supplies and educational materials as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and expertise through faculty development (e.g., seminars, literature, online courses).
  • Ensure students follow catalog guidelines daily.
  • Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings.
  • Serve on committees (e.g., curriculum development, retention) as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of HVAC/R field experience (required).
  • HVAC certification preferred.
  • Prior teaching or instructional experience preferred.
  • Must reside near or be able to relocate to Anchorage, AK.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Pay

Salaried exempt position with an annual compensation range of $68,640–$72,800, to start (DOE).
