Full-Time HVAC Instructor

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver all lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction per the required curriculum
• Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods, or develop them as directed
• Maintain a daily lesson plan
• Monitor and document student attendance and retention as required
• Grade assignments and return feedback to students in a timely manner
• Provide educational assistance during scheduled office hours or by appointment
• Substitute in classes when necessary
• Advises students on school policies and satisfactory academic performance
• Monitor equipment and supply inventory in secured facilities
• Maintain professional expertise through seminars, current literature, and online courses to meet accreditation standards
• Attend all mandatory meetings and serve on assigned committees
• Maintain a professional appearance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience
• HVAC certification preferred
• Prior teaching or instructional experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work day or evening shifts Monday–Thursday
• Must be able to commute to or relocate to Sandy, UT 84070 prior to starting

Compensation

• Full-Time | Salaried $68,640–$72,800 annually to start, DOE
• Day or Evening shifts | Monday–Thursday 32 hours on campus per week including class time and office hours 8 hours of online work per week
